In the early 2000s, Mattia Bonetti and Elizabeth Garouste decided to separate, while keeping En Attendant les Barbares as editor of their joint creations.
On two occasions, the gallery devoted two solo exhibitions to Elizabeth Garouste.
The first, "Fragmentations", expressed the counter-shock of the separation, and gave Elizabeth Garouste the opportunity to expose her drawings in ink for the first time.
The second, "Eclectismes" was the culmination of 30 years of aesthetic complicity with the gallery, and reflected a strong artistic ambition, with works located at the frontiers of art and design, unique or limited pieces.
The artisans were carefully chosen: Pierre Basse, ex-ironsmith of Diego Giacometti, Patrick Maury, gilder of the King's apartments at the Château de Versailles, and Régis Bocquel, bronze founder of Gérard Garouste.
In this way, the pieces in this exhibition revealed the different facets of Elizabeth Garouste's multiform talent, often with a jubilant connotation.
In 1993, Elizabeth Garouste received the Women's Trophy.
In 2008, she was named Knight in the Order of the Legion of Honour.
