Eric Schmitt (born in 1955) was discovered in the 80s by En Attendant les Barbares, who were his first editors and the first gallery to dedicate a personal exhibition to him.
Over the years, he began a brilliant career, punctuated by numerous exhibitions, as well in France, as in the United States, and in England.
For all that, he continues to be faithful to En Attendant les Barbares, and has imagined new pieces for the gallery, limited series or unique pieces.
His piece "La Souche" was part of the selection of the exhibition on French design, held at the French Embassy in Rome, Palazzo Farnese.
Very attached to the noble materials, such as wrought iron and bronze, Eric Schmitt sees himself today as a designer-sculptor.
In 2016, Norma published a monograph on the subject.
